Dr. Neil Jepson

DIRECTOR OF COUNSELING; SECRETARY

Neil Jepson, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist and a general licensed minister with the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI). He serves as the Illinois District Christian Prison Ministry Coordinator, Secretary and Director of Counseling for the United Refresh Network, Clinical Advisor for Apostolic Moral Purity, and Northwestern Regional Clinical Liaison for the Center for Apostolic Counseling. Additionally, Dr. Jepson is the Outreach Director at Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Bloomington, IL.

With over 25 years of experience in the mental health field, Dr. Jepson has dedicated his career to assisting individuals with a variety of physical and mental health challenges. He received his master's degree in 1999 and his doctoral degree in health psychology in 2008. 

Currently, he works as a health psychologist at Carle Health Foundation, where he specializes in treating chronic pain, trauma, and addictions, and is at the forefront of developing innovative programs in integrated behavioral medicine.

Dr. Jepson's passion lies in treating the whole person—spiritually, physically, cognitively, and emotionally. His ministerial activities include serving as Outreach Director at his local church, teaching Bible studies, and providing spiritual guidance at the local county jail. 

As one of the founding vice presidents of Apostolic Moral Purity, an endorsed ministry of the UPCI, Dr. Jepson is committed to helping individuals struggling with pornography addiction and other sexual sins find true and lasting deliverance in Jesus Christ.

In his role as Regional Clinical Liaison for the Center for Apostolic Counseling, Dr. Jepson recruits and supports other licensed mental health professionals within the Apostolic faith. 

Most recently, he was appointed as Christian Prison Ministry Coordinator for the Illinois District of the UPCI, where he is dedicated to supporting and developing jail and prison ministries across the state of Illinois.

Dr. Jepson's extensive experience and unwavering dedication to holistic care make him an invaluable asset to both the mental health and ministerial communities.
